About the Role
This is a full-time remote role for a Senior Systems Engineer: responsible for designing, implementing, and managing complex system architectures, ensuring system reliability, efficiency, and scalability, while also mentoring junior engineers and coordinating cross-functional team efforts to meet project goals and technical requirements.
Due to the nature of our work, this role requires pre-existing ‘right to work’ in UK be in place and that the candidate be able to meet security clearance requirements.
Additionally, whilst the role is remote, this role will require occasional travel within UK, Europe and North America in support of business objectives.
Senior Systems Engineer Role Specific Behaviours
Able to facilitate large meetings with SMEs to develop / refine artifacts (Requirements, Architecture Models, etc.).
Able to plan roadmap of individual work within a project.
Able to present work to customer and internal stakeholders.
Able to mentor and support up to 3 junior systems engineers on a project.
Proactively manages self development to meet progression aims.
CONDITIONS:
Starting salary £45,000 - £60,000 pa. (Depending on experience)
This position will be fully remote initially but may require on-site work at different locations within the UK, and therefore may turn to Hybrid.
Location of onsite work may change according to future projects.
Temporary relocation costs will be covered: Accommodation (if required) and transport.

Requirements
Key Skills
Detailed understanding of the engineering life-cycle.
Able to manage the requirements gathering and analysis process for a particular project.
Able to lead the development of Architecture Models with minimal support.
Detailed understanding of how to use commercially available MBSE software, such as Enterprise Architect, DOORS, etc.
Possesses one or more areas of expertise within the defence or commercial engineering sectors.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field (Desirable)
4+ years of experience in systems engineering
Registered with relevant engineering institute, working towards Chartership.
