Espanaro Achieves Prestigious Gold Award in Armed Forces Covenant Employer Recognition Scheme

Espanaro is proud to announce that we have been awarded the Gold Award in the Armed Forces Covenant Employer Recognition Scheme. This significant milestone comes just four years into our operation, highlighting our deep commitment to supporting the Armed Forces community.

The Armed Forces Covenant is a national pledge that ensures those who serve or have served in the Armed Forces, and their families, are treated fairly and with respect. The Gold Award is the highest badge of honour given to organisations that demonstrate outstanding support for the Armed Forces community. This year, nearly 200 organisations from across the UK were recognised, with Espanaro Ltd standing among them as a leader in promoting and supporting the employment of veterans, reservists, and military families.

To achieve this prestigious recognition, Espanaro Ltd has implemented a range of initiatives, including the Espanaro Military Transition Scheme (EMTS). This programme is designed to assist members of the Armed Forces in transitioning to civilian careers by providing tailored employment opportunities, specialised training, and career development resources. The EMTS not only supports veterans and reservists but also enriches our workforce with their exceptional skills and leadership qualities.

Winning the Gold Award requires more than just a commitment; it demands concrete actions. As part of the criteria, organisations must provide at least ten extra paid days of leave for reservists and have supportive HR policies in place for veterans, reservists, Cadet Force Adult Volunteers, and the spouses and partners of those serving in the Armed Forces. Additionally, award recipients must advocate for the Armed Forces community, encouraging other organisations to sign the Armed Forces Covenant and engage with the Employer Recognition Scheme..

The official presentation of the Gold Award will take place on 26th September 2024 at HMS Cambria in Cardiff, where Espanaro Ltd will join other distinguished organisations in celebrating this achievement. This award not only reflects our dedication to the Armed Forces community but also sets a benchmark for our continued efforts to support those who have served our country.
